Hardman books a spot with Team GB

Rugby Triathlon Club’s Tamara Hardman secured a place with Team GB for the ITU World Championships in Edmonton, Canada this September.

She placed second (2:29:28) in her age group at the Chester Deva Triathlon when over 1,200 racers took part in an Olympic distance race.

At the Grafman Middle Distance Triathlon at Grafham Water, honorary member Hywel Davies was second in his age group (40-44) completing the 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile cycle and 13.1-mile run in 4:06:19. Mark Slater, in his first half ironman distance, finished in 5:39:28.

Greg Ashley 40:47, Amy Sarkies 43:38, Derek Birch 45:17, James Glover 46:26, Allison Morris 54:35, Pam Batchelor 58:42, Ross Smith 58:49 and Stephen Brooks 1:01:49 took part in the tough Two Castles 10k.

And Tim Batemanclocked 3:00:14 in the Jubilee River Swim between Maidenhead and Eton.
