Success for Bilton Grange deputy headmaster
Paul Nicholson, Deputy Headmaster of Bilton Grange School and a member of the Rugby and East Warwickshire Hockey Club, is celebrating gold again. Paul and the Midlands Over 55s Hockey team were crowned winners at the Divisional Tournament in Wakefield. The Midlands team lost their opening match to the South but beat the North, West and East to secure the title.
No stranger to winning competitions, Paul’s most recent success comes hot on the heels of his gold medal as part of the England Over 55s team in the FIH Masters Hockey World Cup in Australia.
Paul said: “Hockey is a real passion; I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to play with such an outstanding team, both in Canberra and Wakefield. I hope that our recent win will inspire more children to take up hockey and older players to keep playing the game.”
