RISING star Lauren Taylor added another title to her collection.

She won the girls’ competition in the annual Poncat Dutch Junior Open at Toxandria Golf Club near Breda.

Lauren was the defending girls’ champion after her victory last year and she again demonstrated her class by finishing on level-par 288, 11 strokes ahead of runner-up Andrea Jonama from Spain.

The 2011 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year, who is a member of Rugby Golf Club as well as Woburn, led from start to finish but it was her third round 67 containing seven birdies, that stamped her authority on the event.

Even a closing 75 left her streets clear of her rivals and she could also afford to finish with back-to-back bogeys.

As a result of their victories, boy’s champion Joe Dean and Lauren - the youngest ever British amateur champion - have respectively earned places in the KLM Dutch Open on the European Tour and the Deloitte Ladies Open on the LET in Holland.

After her busy summer, Lauren will soon be going to America to take up her scholarship at Baylor University, Texas.

The former Ashlawn School pupil became the youngest ever British amateur champion in June 2011 at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.

The previous youngest winner was a 17-year-old in 1899 and the record had stood for 112 years.
