If you’re looking for a new activity to help you keep fit and healthy this year, why not try Nordic Walking?
Starting on Wednesday, January 16, Rugby Borough Council is offering an eight-week introductory course, showing everyone the correct technique in a friendly environment.
Nordic Walking is an enhancement of ordinary walking, but is said to burn up to 46% more calories. And using specialist Nordic Walking poles, actively involves the upper body.
A trained instructor will lead the sessions, with a number of poles available for newcomers to use. The walks will start from Dunchurch library at 10.30am to 12noon.
The course costs just £16 for the eight weeks and anyone interested can register by calling the Sports and Recreation Team on (01788) 533749.
