KARTING: Charity race for air ambulance

Join the fun day at Broughton Astley

Rugby Kart Club are holding a two-hour kart endurance race for teams of four drivers to raise funds for The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

Anyone can enter as long as they are over 16 years of age. The event is being held on Saturday, November 29 at Sutton Circuit, Sutton-in-the-Elms, Broughton Astley, LE9 6QF at 3pm. The cost per team is £188, or £47 per driver.

If anyone wants to enter, but can’t raise a team of four, they can still race and they will be put in a team.

The race will take place over two hours with compulsory driver changes, which makes for great fun. All equipment is provided, overalls, helmet and gloves.

The kart club ask that each team should raise a minimum of £50 (£12.50 for individual drivers) which will be donated to The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance. There will also be a raffle, and a chance to have a fun bet on lap times and the outcome of the race.

The club want to make this a fun event and raise as much as possible for this very worthy cause. The karts are faster than those you can drive on indoor circuits and this outdoor circuit is longer too.
