Try badminton, netball and athletics

This Autumn The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre in Rugby is launching several sport courses for toddlers, children and adults.

The leisure centre run by Better, the UK’s largest leisure provider, is providing fun and structured programmes for junior netball, pre school athletics and adult badminton.

Starting on Friday, September 26, from 7.00-8.00pm an eight week badminton coach-led course will begin for people aged 16 plus. Starting on Monday, September 29, two eight week netball courses will start for children aged five to nine year olds and nine to eleven year olds. Lastly, on Thursday 2 October, toddlers aged three to five years will have the opportunity to try athletics.

Philip Lisseman, General Manager, said: “It is important to provide people of all ages an opportunity to try sports. It is important for everyone to be active, regardless of their age. Being physically active not only has health benefits but also boosts participant’s self confidence and motivates individuals to adopt a regular healthy lifestyle.”

There are limited places for all the courses, to guarantee a place or to find out more information please email Georgia.barrett@gll.org.
