Great night of racing in prospect at East of England Showground
Rugby’s Mark Cossar heads a star-studded line up in Peterborough next Saturday (August 23) for the inaugural Sidecar Spectacular at the East of England Showground.
Cossar and his passenger Carl Blyth, the reigning 1,000cc Track Racing and British Masters Champions, will clash with their fiercest rivals at a raceway that always serves up fast, competitive action.
The special launch event, which also features the on-form Robbie Wilson and former British Masters Champions Rod Winterburn and Paul Whitelam starts at 7pm, with free entry being offered for under-15s, whilst an adult ticket costs just £10. There’s ample free parking too.
Despite the pressure of being the team to beat, Cossar is relishing the challenge at the Sidecar Spectacular.
“Carl and I enjoy racing at Peterborough which is quick and wide with more space than most tracks for overtaking – but it’s going to be very tough, with everyone keen to get one over on us.
“I know there are plenty of people making the trip from around Rugby and Coventry, so there should be a good atmosphere to go with the fast and furious racing”.
Keith Dalton, Managing Director at the Peterborough Arena, added: “We are thrilled to have the 1000cc sidecars for a dedicated event at the venue.
“This is one of the most exciting spectator motor sports around.
“With such a strong line up we anticipate an incredible night’s racing.”
