Just the nine anglers fished the latest match at Holly Farm, Trotters Lake.
The carp were showing well, mostly on the surface.
In first spot was Nathan Granger with 126lb 2oz, all nice sized carp taken on biscuit and bread.
Second was Chris Granger with 113lb 8oz, again all carp on bread.
Third was Robin Smith, first time on floating bread, with 64lb 4oz, again all carp.
In fourth was Rob Taylor with 59 lb 6 oz, all carp on the meat.
The next match is on Sunday (July 15) at Barby Mill Pool. Fully booked on this match.

n Twelve Anglers from Braunston Thursday club fished at the Banks. Taking top spot was John Clarke on peg 28 with an all-carp catch of 65lb 4oz taken on bread. In second, also fishing the bread, was John Bates with a similar net weighing 34lb 8oz. Third spot went to Brian Hodgetts with 31lb 10oz made up largely of roach on pellet.
n The latest AEC Saturday afternoon special took place at Barby Mill. In first place and completing a hat-trick of wins in this series was Brian Hodgetts, who weighed in 44lb 4oz a catch split between skimmers on the pole and carp on the pellet waggler. Second spot went to Paul Williams who fished meat on peg 8 which accounted for some of the bigger carp to weigh in at 40lb 8oz.
In third place was Carl Hulley with a mainly carp catch taken on the long pole from peg 20 and fourth was Phil Porter, left rueing his luck after losing a couple of huge fish late on. He weighed in at 25lb 8oz.

n Rugby Disabled and Pensioners AC were on the ‘A’ Lake at Peatling Pools last Tuesday and the winner of this one was Lou O’Toole with a bread-caught net of 61lb 2oz to push Jim Tanser into second place with his 46lb 2oz, taken on a variety of baits.
Third place went to Chris Maspers with 41lb 8oz of carp again taken on the floating bread.
n Most of the same crowd returned to Peatling on Thursday for the open match that Rob Taylor had organised on the Plough lake on the complex and it was Rob’s travelling partner Mick Chambers who took the top spot thanks to his corn-caught net of F1s.
Runner-up was Tuesday winner Lou O’Toole, who had 61lb 14oz of F1s and carp taken on pellet and paste pushing Terry Aspland into second place with a similar net taken on the pellet but falling short at 52lb 1oz.
n Avon Mill AC held their latest contest on the Silver lake at Toft Farm last Saturday, a warm but showery day that saw everyone have plenty of bites even if the weights weren’t huge.
The winner - for the third match in succession - was Albert Gamble with 24lb. That put him ahead of Mark Bird and Bruce Kennedy who tied for second place with a total of 17lb.
n Daventry AC held their latest club match on the Carp lake at Toft Farm Fishery and there was a very close finish to this one with six weight over the magical ton mark and the next five above 90lb!
The winner was Jason Eccles, drawn on peg 2 where he fished the feeder to the island and the pellet on the pole for a net totalling 123lb 12oz.
Runner up was Pete ‘Rocket Man’ Palmer, who took advantage of seven spare pegs to his right to fish his way to a total of 114lb 6oz.
Third place went to Carl Hulley with 110lb from peg 46 on the paste.
Completing the frame was Simon Potter with 109lb 12oz from peg 52 taken on the maggot.
n A reminder now that Daventry AC has taken over the running of Bob Taylor’s charity contest which is fished annually in support of MacMillan Cancer Care.
This will take place on Saturday July 21 on the Carp lake at Toft Farm at a cost of £25 all in. The draw is at 8.30am and the match will be fished between 10am and 3pm.
