Girls celebrate trials success
Traditionally Princethorpe College netballers have an excellent history of both regional and county representative honours. With Molly Geehan and Georgia Peake having already been selected to play at Regional Level, the news that four College players have been selected to play for Warwickshire was greeted with delight.
Year 8’s Emelia Tubb is the youngest of those to be selected. Playing Goal Attack this exceptional athlete, who also plays for Leamington Ladies, was thrilled with her selection made all the more special as she, at the age of just 12, will be playing as part of the U14 squad.
For the second year running Amelia Hagan will be wearing the Warwickshire strip whilst fellow Year 9 player Emily Nicholls proved that resilience is the key to success with her second year of trialling finally paying off. U16’s Chloe Kempton who also plays for Harbury is looking forward to her season as Goal Attack.
Describing each of the girls’ selection Princethorpe College Head of Girls’ Games Debs Brookes, said: “These four girls along with Molly and Georgia play some of the highest quality netball. They bring an excellent attitude to the court and never fail to play as a team member. Their representative honours are well deserved.”
