Fifth world championship call up for England player Roger Hunt
Talented pool player Roger Hunt will be competing against the best in the world later this month.
He has been selected to represent England at the World Championships for the fifth time, being staged at Blackpool’s Imperial Hotel. He will be taking part in not only the team competition, but the singles and senior singles.
There will be more than 250 players bidding to be the world singles champion and Roger is practising hard to be at the top of his game.
Currently seventh on the UK Seniors Tour, he is looking forward to facing some of the world’s top players. In his first two years he reached the semi-finals of the senior singles and England won by team title in 2010.
Roger is also looking forward to a trip to Fife in Scotland in September, again playing for England in the Home Internationals. He is captain of Rileys Lions Superleague team and the senior Warwickshire team.
He is grateful to all his sponsors for their support, including Nick Pugh of Atomic Ales, Sean Quigley, Stonewall Security, Merchants Inn, Seven Stars, Masala Lounge and Heaphy’s menswear.
