Determined promotion ambitions this season

Saints’ new club captain Billy Butlin is determined that the first team will rectify the misery of promotional near misses over the last four years. The club’s primary ambition must be to move out of East Midlands 3 and with the excellent new full pitch floodlighting now installed, there is no longer the excuse that the training facilities are not adequate.

A number of the squad that carried Saints agonisingly close to promotion will not be available this coming season. Retirements and long term injuries will provide second team players and any ambitious new recruits with opportunities to establish first team places.

The second team will again play in the highly competitive Warwickshire 1 league and the thirds in Warwickshire 4.

Training under the supervision of Wayne Morgan, the Warwickshire under 20s and Rugby & District coach, takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm.

New recruits, whatever their level of experience, are welcome to come along to any session at the Ashlawn Road ground.
