The first ever International Segway Polo Tournament in the UK will be held in Rugby next month.
Aside from watching the International teams battle it out on the pitches, there will be a fun filled afternoon of family entertainment including mini fun fair, face painting, shopping, showcases and opportunities to ride Segways, whilst food and drink will also be available to purchase.
Special guest presenters Rugby FM’s Jason Moss and ‘Face of British Polo’ Karl Ude-Martinez will also be taking to their mics to keep spectators informed throughout the afternoon as the action unfolds.
Segway Polo is well known for being a favourite pastime of Apple’s Steve Wozniak and with his world cup tournament taking place in Cologne in July. The UK tournament is already being hailed by all the world’s teams as the precursor to his ‘Woz Challenge Cup’.

In celebration of this very special occasion, the first ever International Segway Polo Tournament in the UK, there will be an evening of horse polo, a delicious home cooked supper, live music by the tremendous Midlands’ based band ‘The Caves’ and a perfect setting to have a few drinks with friends and supporters of this acclaimed new sport.
With teams joining this tournament from all over the world, coming from as far as Barbados, it will be a great way to make the visitors feel welcome!
There will be opportunities for those new to the sport to meet the players and hear more about Segway Polo, whilst being able to watch an exclusive exhibition polo game from the comfort of Rugby Polo Club’s adjoining bar and restaurant.
