Huge haul of medals and personal best times

Elaine Bromwich, swimming for Birmingham Masters, had a very successful weekend in Sheffield at the ASA Masters Swimming Championships competing in the 70-74 age group.

She came home with two gold and six silver medals.

First places came from the women’s 4x50m and 4x100m medley relays. She swam the breaststroke leg in both achieving two PBs, knocking another two seconds off her 100m time after achieving a PB in the individual race.

The other six events - all in personal best times - were 1500m freestyle, knocking two minutes off her best time, 800m free (a PB by four seconds), 400m free (PB by 14 seconds), 200m breaststroke (PB by six seconds), 100m breaststroke (PB by four seconds) and 50m breaststroke (PB by one second).
