Fifth triathlon in Daventry great success
Triathletes Matt Glenn and Nicola Smith were the overall men’s and ladies’ winners at the fifth Viridian Daventry Triathlon on Sunday, organised by Rugby Triathlon Club.
Congratulations also go to Team ‘The Wright Stuff’ for being the fastest relay team on the day.
Rugby Triathlon Club Race Director Rod McGowan said: “It’s so inspiring to see so many people of all standards competing in our fifth race.
“This is a perfect location as it has a great leisure centre and country park and the facilities to make a memorable event.
“We’d like to thank all our supporters and volunteers for getting involved and making it so successful.”

This was a sprint distance race, where competitors swam 400m in the leisure centre pool, cycled 20k around local countryside and ran 5k around the Daventry Country Park.

The race is organised by Rugby Triathlon Club and is in support of Alzheimer’s Society and PWSA.
