Two popular members of Rugby Triathlon Club were out in Lanzarote recently competing in the Ironman event there.
Greg Ashley and Tony Johnson both completed the course in Puerto del Carmen.
The toughest Ironman course in the World – Ironman Lanzarote tests the endurance of the 1500 athletes who swim 3.8km, ride a grueling 180km bike course and finally run a full marathon of 42.2km
Tony Johnson (TJ) completed the course in 12 hours 53 minutes, winning his age group & qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. At this event the best of the best in the world compete.
Greg completed the course in 12 hours 45 minutes.
