Monthly runs at Whitehall Rec

Get the kids up and get active with Kids Run Free.

On Saturday, February 7, Midlands based children’s charity Kids Run Free is launching in Rugby with monthly running events at Whitehall Recreation Ground.

These events will run on the first Saturday of every month at 9am and are accessible to children of all abilities. There will be individual races for each age category and distances range from 50m to over 1km and there are free gifts to collect with every

eight events attended. So whether your child is a budding Olympic athlete or is just finding their running legs, there’s something to suit.

The Kids Run Free mission is to create fun, sustainable running opportunities for 0-16 year olds, igniting their passion for sport and physical activity and allowing them to become healthier, happier, more confident children.

It’s completely free to take part, you just need to register at before you attend. Or if you would like to get involved as a volunteer and help run the event please contact the volunteer co-ordinator Justin Mullis on for more information.

The Rugby launch will be the 16th event for this growing charity and is being supported by the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre and will be attended by the Mayor, Councillor Ramesh Srivastava.

So come along to the newest event at the Whitehall Rec, Bruce Williams Way, Rugby, CV22 5LJ on Saturday, February 7. Races start at 9am but please arrive at 8.45am for warm up and registration.
