OLs to play last week’s postponed game at Old Yardleians

Saturday sees a break from league action for most clubs, but Lions and OLs have a busy weekend.

On Sunday Rugby Lions travel to Leamington RFC to face Southam in the final of the Warwickshire Shield, ko 2.15pm. Lions, unbeaten in Midlands 4 West (South) will start as underdogs against the side in the lower half of the league above.

After their Midlands 2 West (South) game at Old Yardleians was called off last week because of a frozen pitch, Old Laurentians are due to be playing the rearranged fixture in Birmingham on Saturday. OLs are currently unbeaten, but slipped into second spot when Newbold (who had been level on points), recorded at bonus-point win at Droitwich last weekend.

Newbold have a free weekend.

Rugby St Andrews were hoping a friendly fixture on Saturday would help them prepare to face Stockwood Park in the league on the 21st.
