Prison Service side take on former colleagues from local clubs
The second fixture in memory of former player Lawrence Sherriffs will be taking place this evening, Wednesday, May 27, at Old Laurentians’ Fenley Field ground in Lime Tree Avenue, Bilton.
The game will be between a Prison Service squad and a 4-Loz squad, made up of his former playing colleagues from local clubs.
The ‘gentle giant’ known as Loz, died about 18 months ago when he collapsed after playing in a game for the Prison Service against Manchester Police.
The match will kick off at 6.30pm and there will be a pig-roast, and a raffle with some incredible prizes including exclusive prizes – many donated by professional rugby clubs and players.
All profits will go to Loz’s two charities, the Woodlands Trust and Heart Link.
