News from Coventry Buildbase Bees and Coventry Storm

Coventry Buildbase Bees team building has moved at quite a fast pace over the past couple weeks and the 2016 septet is now in place.

Last year’s Team GB stars, Chris Harris and Danny King have re-signed and doubts over Jason Garrity were alleviated when the rider who starred in the reserve position put pen to paper to become a member of the top five.

Bees have beaten off many interested clubs to sign former World number two, Krzysztof Kasprzak.

The Polish international has had two previous spells in the black and gold, the first coming in 2010 when he was a member of the title winning side of that year.

He had a less successful spell in 2013 but still maintained an average of over seven points.

The final piece of the jigsaw comes in the shape of 19-year old Kacper Woryna, recommended by skipper Harris. Woryna has a good pedigree, being the grandson of former World Finalist Antoni Woryna.

Bees will again be known as the Buildbase Bees despite John Clarke leaving the company at the end of the year.

Coventry Storm will again be running and it hoped to fit in all home fixtures on Grand Prix Fridays to give continuity of racing.

The Coventry management have announced new Elite League admission prices for next year. Children under 16 will be allowed in free. General admission has been reduced by £1 back to £17 but there is no concessionary rate.

Prices; All adults (16+) £17, Student (16+) on production of appropriate proof, £5, Children (under 16) Free. Programme £3.
