Newbold travel to Midlands 1 East strugglers Matlock tomorrow (Saturday) in a game previously postponed because of the Derbyshire weather.

Captain Danny Facer’s side are currently third in the table and will be looking for a bonus-point win to keep their chances of runners-up spot alive, before they host Derby on April 2 at Parkfield Road.

Leaders Bedford Athletic - who Newbold convincingly beat earlier this month - have 101 points from their 23 games, Derby are second on 93 from 23 games, while Newbold have 86 from 22.

The town’s other first teams will be enjoying the Easter break without a competitive league fixture
