Having established a ladies’ team - the Lionesses - Rugby Lions are now embarking on another venture.
Their aim is to develop an entirely new section for junior girls to play rugby.
Taster sessions open to girls of all ages are being held every Sunday during the summer.
Training in the early stages starts with a game called Touch Rugby, which is essentially a non-contact sport, aimed at developing the basic ball handling skills and spatial awareness, the rules are very simple.

Since the launch a few weeks ago, the number of girls attending the Sunday training sessions has steadily been on the increase.
But organisers are certain there are still many girls in the area who are keen to have a go at rugby.
They have been encouraged by the initial turnout of local girls and are especially pleased that some even travel from Coventry to play and train.
More girls are always welcome to boost the numbers, so if any youngsters fancy giving rugby a go then just turn up at the GEC ground, off Hillmorton Road (just past Boundary Road) on Sunday mornings 10am-12noon.
