Wins for OLs, Newbold, Saints and Lions and a draw for Welsh
Old Laurentians and Newbold kept up their title battle in Midlands 2 West (South) both securing bonus-point wins to stay level on points at the top.
OLs remain in first place, by way of their extra win, with Newbold making up the difference in bonus points.
On Saturday OLs beat Pinley - who now drop to fifth- 22-10 at Fenley Field. Newbold won 30-15 at home to tenth-placed Leamington.
OLs and Newbold meet in the last fixture of the campaign on April 11.
Rugby St Andrews stay third in Midlands 3 East (South) with a 23-17 win at John Tomalin Way against Stockwood Park, who slip to sixth. Leaders Rushden & Higham and Vipers both have 61 points, with Saints on 55.
Rugby Lions kept their season’s 100 per cent record in tact with a 46-5 victory over Stoke Old Boys at Webb Ellis Road. Lions are 14 points clear at the top of Midlands 4 West (South) with Evesham second on 50 and Claverdon third with 46.
Rugby Welsh were disappointed to share the points with Wellesbourne, who scored with the last play of the game for 10-10. Welsh are fifth in Midlands 5 West (South) and Wellesbourne fourth.
Welsh now turn their attention to the cup when they travel to face Daventry 2nds on Thursday night. Kick off 7.30pm.
