They aim re-establish a regular first team for next season and recruit for all sides.

They were due to meet with representatives of the Warwickshire Rugby Football Union yesterday (Wednesday) to discuss the requirements and expectations for the first team’s re-entry to the league structure.

There will be more friendlies for the first team in the new year. The U17s, the 2012 Warwickshire League Champions, will compete in a national cup competition, while the Minis and Juniors will continue in their current weekly competitive format.

The Rugby Lionesses have several fixtures planned for 2013 starting with Five Ways at home on January 13. There is also a newly formed junior ladies side beginning to emerge.

The Lions will be holding an Open Day in February to attract players into all sections, and encourage sponsorship and by then a plan for the future of the club will be in place.

The club house is available for private functions and events with two floors and two bars. The traditional Lions’ New Years Eve party has been organised with live music and food and a there will be a quiz night early in 2013.
