Wingrove proves a mini marvel
Three-year-old Ila Wingrove from Southam and her pony Splodgy won the seven years and under mini challenge at the Hickstead International Derby meeting, emerging victorious from a field of 34.
Showjumping is in the blood for the youngster with mum Vicki having competed for England at junior level and uncle Jamie Wingrove currently making his mark on the international circuit.
Jamie also schools and produces young horses and tutors riders alongside his brother David who has returned to the family base, Fox Farm Equestrian, after two successful seasons competing in Holland.
