Wolfrunners get down and dirty
More than 5,000 hardy souls braved the cold last weekend to take part in the biannual Wolf Run.
The event, held near Offchurch, features a series of man-made obstacles with the run, which is not timed, billed as a physical and mental challenge rather than a race.
Part of the course, a 70-metre lake swim, was omitted after temperatures dropped to just four degrees, but competitors still had plenty of water to contend with, in addition to the usual energy-sapping obstacles.
