The show is produced by Five Star Theatre, which was invited to produce the panto for the venue because of the success of its recent musicals, including Annie and Guys and Dolls.

Aladdin tells the story of a young boy with hopes of marrying a princess, and his outrageous mother who dreams of a more glamorous future than running a Chinese laundry.

Throw in a couple of policemen who haven’t got half a brain between them, a lovable laundry boy, Wishee-Washee, and his pet panda, along with some magical genies, and audiences can expect a panto adventure filled with colour and fun.

The show is packed with visual spectacle, which includes a UV magic carpet flight and an 18-metre Chinese dragon. There’s a range of well-known songs and plenty of laughs for both children and adults.

Aladdin is staged on Thursday, December 29, and Friday, December 30, at 7pm, with a 2pm performance on the Friday. Tickets cost £8.95 and £10.95. Visit www.bennhall.com or call (01788) 533719.
