The patriotic revelry of the Proms comes to Caldecott Park on Sunday August 30.
The evening of musical celebration featuring the current All England and Midland Area champion brass band Virtuosi GUS. The concert will feature many popular items culminating with a Last Night of the Proms’-style finale and organisers expect an audience of up to 1,000 people.
Director of organisers Lead Event Management Louise Davis said: “This is the first Proms in the Park concert in Rugby and there has been a great amount of interest from the local community.
“Advance ticket sales are going really well and we are looking forward to what we hope will become an annual event. The Virtuosi GUS Brass Band are one of the country’s leading brass bands and feature some incredible soloists. The audience really is in for a treat.”
Audience members are encouraged to bring their own food and refreshments and join together in an evening of musical celebration.
Louise added: “This is our first concert in Rugby but it is one we feel passionately about. It is an opportunity for families and friends to come together to enjoy an evening of quality music in a relaxed environment.
“We are passionate about increasing the profile of and interest in brass music in the Rugby area and beyond and are already planning further events for later this year.

Tickets are priced £12 adults, £10 concessions, with under-tens admitted free of charge.
