IT’S time to enter the wonderful world of Alice.

The Dunchurch Pantomaniacs are preparing to present their 23rd annual pantomime at Dunchurch Village Hall this week.

Alice in Wonderland has been in print continuously since it was written in 1865 by Charles Dodgson under his pseudonym Lewis Carroll.

However the adaptation by Limelight Scripts and presented by the panto regulars is a rather far-out and fun version.

Mike Judge from the Pantomaniacs said: “For instance, would you really expect to find a walking sat nav in a version of the tale?

Of course, there is also Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Dormouse and the Queen - who will have your head off if you offend her.

The huge cast is headed up by many of the popular regulars but with the addition of some very talented newcomers and more than a dozen and a half youngsters.

Alice in Wonderland will start tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm and run until Saturday, January 28.

Evening shows start at 7.30pm, except for the final night on January 28 which starts at 6.30pm.

There will be a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Tickets are on sale at Wanda Fashions.
