Jack and the Beanstalk Rugby Theatre Until Sunday January 7 Tickets: 01788 541234 Review by Leasa Marriott
It’s was opening night at Rugby Theatre for the annual panto – and, as we took our seats, some of the cast were on hand to sell light-up toys which we did partake in.
The panto itself was well written and directed by Mike Allen with all you need for the children to get involved with the ‘he’s behind you’ and booing and hissing at the wicked witch.
The regular characters that appear in the panto were as brilliant as ever especially dreadful and worse which kept us laughing.
Stand out performances came from the the mum Dame Trot played by Steve Bradnam, Jack himself played by Michelle Goode and Billy Trot played by Natalie Gibson.
So once again well done Rugby Theatre – we’re already looking forward to Dick Whittington next year.
