Comedian Vikki Stone returns to Rugby to headline the next comedy night at the Benn Hall.
The Rugby girl’s unique mix of stand up and musical comedy has made her one of the fastest rising stars of British comedy, with sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and a string of television appearances.
And Vikki has chosen next month’s Comedy Night at the Benn Hall, Newbold Road, to perform her first home town show. She is rapidly gaining attention as a quirky, funny, talented comedy piano-playing sort.
Vikki made her Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2011 with Big Neon Letters, which played to sell-out audiences and was named in the Observer’s top five shows of the festival.
She is looking forward to returning to her home town, but said: “I’m really lucky to have performed at various places in the past. But I would love to perform at the Royal Albert Hall, because so many musical comedians have done shows there, so it’s on the top of my list.”
The follow-up, Hot Mess, sold out its entire Edinburgh run in 2012 when Vikki also scored a surprise viral video hit with her Phillip Schofield Song, which she performed to the man himself live on This Morning. A winner of the Soho Theatre One Night Stand Award, Vikki Stone headlines Comedy Night at the Benn Hall on Thursday February 20 .Support comes from John McLynn and Kiri Pritchard McLean, while Dave Longley compères. Tickets, priced £8, can be booked online at www.bennhall.com or at the box office on (01788) 533719. Over 18s only.
