There’s a chance to banish the post-Christmas blues at a concert by a top international musician in Rugby tomorrow (Friday).

St Andrew’s Church hosts pianist Mariko Terashi from 7.30pm. She will play works by Rameau, Couperin, Seixas, Beethoven and Chopin.

Having finished her musical studies in Japan, Mariko extended her musical repertoire with Catherine Collard and Yvonne Lefébure, and later won the Cziffra Foundation award.

She recently played concertos by Mozart and Ravel with the University of Leicester Sinfornia orchestra and has given recitals in Spain for the last three summers in Andalucia which appeared on Spanish television TVE.

Last October she also played with the Vita Activa orchestra at the Beethoven Festival in Bohn, Germany.

Tickets cost £5 on the door. Refreshments will be available in the interval.
