St Mary’s Church Clifton ‘Church Summer Event’: Saturday June 29 2pm to 6pm and Sunday June 30 1pm to 4pm. Gift stalls, picture, cake, flower arranging and children’s competitions. Mayor Cllr Tony Gillias on Sunday from 4.30pm

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Open Day: Sunday June 30, Oliver Street, Rugby. Sacrament Worship Meeting for everyone 10am to 11.10am. Men’s, Women’s, Youth Group, Children’s and Tots Sunday Schools 11.20am to 12pm, Priesthood Class, Relief Society, girls 12 to 18s, boys 12 to 18s, mixed children three to 12 years and nursery for 18 mths to three years 12.10pm to 1pm, Munch and Mingle 1.15pm. Everyone is very welcome and all sessions are completely free

Stretton on Dunsmore Village Fete: Saturday July 6, 2.30pm, Stretton, includes Bilton Silver Band, dancing, fun dog show, egg throwing competition. toddlers’ bouncy castle, sumo suits, traditional cream teas in the garden of Brook House, pork roast, drinks and cakes

Stockton Scarecrow Trail with over 40 scarecrows: July 6 and 7, the trail starts at the church where Trail Maps can be purchased for £2 and there will be a prize draw for all completed sheets. There will be refreshments in church from 11am to 5pm both days. Stockton Scout Group are having a barbecue on the Green between 12noon and 2pm each day. Proceeds to Church Funds.
